Step 1: Using artistrypro Avant-Guard Heat Protection & Finishing Spray, crimp the hair from roots to ends.

Step 2: From recession to recession, create a triangular section to the highpoint of the head. Using artistrypro Tactile Dry Texture Spray, tease at the root area.

Step 3: On the right, starting at the top of the head, take a 1” rectangular section to the crown. Section in half and begin twisting towards the center back towards the crown. Using artistrypro Tactile Dry Texture Spray, begin expanding the twisted section. Take another 1” section directly below, this time extending towards the center back to just above the occipital. Repeat the movements. Moving down, create a third expanded twist. Pin each section into place. Repeat the movements on the opposite side.

Step 4: Working with the remaining hair in the front side profile, direct hair towards the back and pin into place. Using the fingers create three full ridges in the side profile using artistrypro Avant-Guard.

Step 5: Gather all of the hair in the back and create a low ponytail. Working with a small section of hair, create a microbraid to wrap around the ponytail. Pin into place.

Step 6: Curl the low ponytail with a 1” curling iron using artistrypro Avant-Guard Heat Protection & Finishing Spray. Use artistrypro Tactile Dry Texture Spray at the base of the ponytail and tease for volume and support. Using your fingers, create ridges in the top of the ponytail for added dimension.

Step 7: Curl the hair at the front hair line for added volume and support.

Step 8: Finish the look with artistrypro Avant-Guard Heat Protection & Finishing Spray.
