We collect the following types of information from our users:
We sometimes request users of the Site to provide Personal Information, which users provide strictly on a voluntary basis. For example, we collect and store information that you voluntarily provide to us on the Site when you purchase a product, respond to a survey, sign up for a conference or online seminar, or enter a contest or sign up for a promotion. We receive and store any Personal Information you enter on the Site or provide to us in any other way, including by registering as a member of the Site. The types of Personal Information collected may include your name, physical address, phone number, email address, purchase history, credit card information, demographic information, comments and product reviews. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of the special features of the Site. The Personal Information you provide is used for purposes such as responding to your requests for certain products, programs, services and content, customizing the content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new products, programs, services or content that might be of interest to you.
To access certain content and to make use of the full functionality and advanced personalization features of the Site such as alerts, saved searches and search history, we ask you to register and obtain a personal Profile, User Name and Password, as applicable.
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the Site. We automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, cookie or web beacon information, and the page you requested.
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) whenever you access the Internet. This number may be the same each time you access the Internet or it may change. Like other Internet websites, we use IP addresses to collect aggregate, anonymous
information about numbers of visitors and website usage. The IP address is logged on our server when your computer requests information from us. However, to allow users to access the Site anonymously, your IP address is not linked with Personal Information about you. We reserve the right, in rare instances, to use IP addresses to identify individuals who threaten the Site or our produs, programs, services or content.
Generally, our service automatically collects information on our server logs from your web browser regarding your usage of the Site. Examples of information we collect automatically from all users include the IP addresses used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system and platform; and full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) click stream data, including date and time, and content you viewed or searched on the Site. We only use this data in aggregate, anonymous form (that is, as a statistical measure), and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate, anonymous data enables us to figure out how often users use parts of the Site or our services so that we can make the Site appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate, anonymous information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use the Site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and the Site, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. Again, we never disclose aggregate, anonymous information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.
Many companies offer programs that help you to visit websites anonymously. While we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these programs are available.
We often receive a confirmation when you open an email from us if your computer supports this type of program. We use this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful. We also compare our user list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our users. If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please contact us by email as set forth below.
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in the Site are visited and by how many people. Our cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your User Name or email address is.
Other than cookies, there are other mechanisms we may use (such as beacons and tags) that enable us to obtain certain website usage information
Personal Information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. We share your Personal Information as described below:
You may change your Personal Information at any time by contacting us and requesting a new password. Our registered users may access their identified contact information and other registration information they voluntarily provide to us, and correct any discrepancies or update information, by logging in and amending the relevant registration form at any time. The accuracy of such information is solely the responsibility of the user. No access is given to other data that may have been collected about users.
If you wish to cease receiving newsletters, alerts, special offers, promotions or surveys from us, notify us at the email address provided below, or use the "opt-out" or unsubscribe options or other means provided within the communications you receive. We reserve the right to notify you of changes or updates to the Site whenever necessary.
As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information to us, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain features of the Site or to otherwise use the Site.
You are able to add or update certain information by contacting us at the email address provided below or on your account pages, such as those listed in the "What Personal Information Can I Access" section above. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.
You may request deletion of your account with us by contacting us by email as set forth below. Please note that some information may remain in our records after deletion of your account.
